If the name Joshua Moriarty sounds familiar, that's because it probably is. The LA-based New Zealander has already made a name for himself performing with Miami Horror and All The Colours, and runs a successful podcast discussing the trials and tribulations involved in musicianship and songwriting. Now it appears that Moriarty is branching out on a solo career, and is about to launch a debut record titled War Is Over. The mysteriously named ‘R.T.F.L.’ is the first offering we’ve heard from his new project, and it’s a gorgeous departure, featuring a soft wash of electronics accompanied by Moriarty’s coaxing falsetto: ‘I can wait for love but there’s only so long’.
